The aim of present research was to find relationship between personality traits and work-family conflict work - family conflict among primary school teachers. The instruments for the study were NEO-Personality Inventory-Revised and Work-Family Conflict Scale. The sample consisted of 297 teachers made up of 221 females and 76 males; drawn through Stratified sampling technique from primary schools in Sāveh city. The study was guided by five hypotheses. Mean and Pearson parametric test were used for data analysis. The findings of the study reveal that there is a positive significant relationship between neuroticism and work-family conflicts among teachers. In addition, findings indicated that there were negative significant relationship between extraversion, agreeableness, openness, and conscientiousness dimensions with work-family conflict. However, this we indicated that most dimensions of personality traits have opposite construct with work-family conflict. The study contributes to both theory related to work-family conflict and understanding of the experiences of primary school teachers in Iran.
