Presentation abstract
Continous education aims to develop the potential of human resources in terms of their attributions and responsibilities, in order to respond the demands of their political, social and economic environment through specific knowledge and skills. In governmental instances it is necessary to implement new forms of training that respond to the social requirements of innovation, being education through ICT a consistent option with the information society. The implementation of these tools entails the challenge of designing a learning methodology according to the digital training proposal, since the training is achieved by its method rather than by the tool used. In this work an online training case for public officials of the Mexican Government is presented, with the objective of exposing the functionality of e-learning as a formative option for human resources. Method: Under request of the dependency, an online course about "Teamwork" was designed and implemented, based on behaviorism and significative learning. Results: Of the total number of participants, 94% satisfactorily approved the course with an average score of 92.49/100 with a mode of 95.29 with a standard deviation of 4.89. On the other hand, on a scale of 0 to 10, 28% of the participants rated the course as 10 in quality, while 44% rated it as 9, the remaining 18% awarded scores of 8, and 9% remainder gave scores between 4 and 7. In addition, comments were collected from the participants' training experience. Conclusions: The need for continuous training of the human resource was covered using strategies that integrated the use of ICT and the proposed psychoeducational methodology, resulting in a viable and economical option.
