Continuous training are training activities implemented by organizations destined to improve the professional skills of their members, which obligates the generation of new teaching and training methods, since the learning needs and the theories that describe it, must reflect underlying social environments, therefore, online education has become into a more adequate option nowadays, nevertheless, the design of psychoeducational methodologies for the proper use and exploitation of tools is required. In this paper a successful case of online training for public employees of the Mexican Government is exposed. Method: The intervention consisted of making an online course using the LMS (Moodle) about "PROSPERA Programa de Inclusión Social" (Mexican government social development program) for 9733 employees of the health, education,productive sectors and internal staff of the program distributed all over the country. The course followed at instructional level a methodology based on principles of Behaviorism and self-regulated learning, including diagrams, videos and formative and summative assessments composed by interactive questions. Results: From a total of 9733 participants, 53.86% of them were from public education system, 37.14% were from public healthcare sector, 9.71% belongs to productive sector, and .29% were internal staff of the Social Development Program. Furthermore, the perception of participants about the course was evaluated through an online survey; on a scale of 0 to 10, 42% of them rated the course with 10 as it refers to quality, while 39% rated it with 9, and the remaining 19% gave ratings of 8 to 6. In adition, the utility, didactic components, navigation and interface of the course were evaluated in each sector. Conclusions: The training demanded by the institution was successfully provided, proving that ICT and psychoeducational methods proposed in this work are useful and functional tools for the continuous training of the human resource.
