To address the concept of Permanent Education, we should depart from the Latin word educere to come to it's one precise and accurate definition in the globalised context. Continuous and diuturnal processing of cultural profile, an exercise of the psychological abilities of judgment and criticism. The lifelong education intimate participation in other people’s life, represented by the Anglo-Saxon term “lifelong learning” which involves the enhancement of all those different resources, intellectual and psychophysical, in virtue of the dignity, well-being, personal success. The importance of lifelong learning begins to recognise around the Forties, but only in the Sixties, it will be entitled with the project "Ongoing Formation" by Bertrand Schwartz. Modern European society during its evolution requires individuals to develop and acquire new skills and knowledge so that everyone may participate actively in the personal, vocational and social development, with the aim of creating a sort of  "collective citizenship". The heart of this research is certainly the focus on the passion for reading, in accord to Fijalkow theories, for whom there isn’t predisposition or genetic transmission, but that can emerge and develop through having adequate habits, triggering the desire to discover and know more worlds. The possibility to explore real or imaginary places to dream, to empathise, to cry or laugh with or at the characters from books, regardless of their genres, throughout the whole life cycle, starting from the "emerging pre-reader" to arrive at the "expert".
