Nowadays human resources is known as the first and the most considerable propellent of development. Studying the evolution of the world over the years shows that most developed societies regarding to positive aspects of social capital and human capital have tried to expand investment in this field, which is now paying off. The importance of social capital as an intangible asset in the economic performance of communities have studied and proved in many researches in recent years. So identification of the economic factors which affect on social capital could be practical in expanding it. In this regard, consideration of the relation between two most connected noticable issues, human capital and social capital could be properly utilized by policy makers and economists. This papers aims to analyze the linear relation between social and hman capial in selected members of the organization of Islamic coopration countries and also among some selected developing countries. The hypotheses of this study are the adverse effects of human capital on social capital and also existing the relation between social capital and human capital have been tested by using econometric panel data and Granger causality test. The results of this study indicate the reverse effect of human capital on social capital in two studied groups of countries. It should be noted that other factors affecting social capital are employment, inflation, GDP per capita and constant tax. In selected members of the organization of Islamic coopration countries and also developing countries, increasing the constant tax causes reducing in social capital and in the case of developing countries, employment and GDP per capita has a direct and significant effect on social capital.
