The blend of University EAP courses and International students, pose a myriad of issues and challenges for EAP teachers and students alike.While International students come from a distinctive and unique academic learning culture, they are faced with the problem of having to adapt to a different one in order to pursue Higher studies in a British University.British academic culture differs a great deal from Asian and Middle-eastern learning cultures, and it is the complexity that influences the interaction of EAP teachers and students which will be discussed in this roundtable conference.The intercultural issues which will be discussed in this conference will be: -Differences between Asian and Middle-eastern learning cultures compared to British Academic learning culture.- Possible solutions to enhance intercultural understanding in the teaching-learning process in the EAP classroom.
