The diversity of levels and learning styles which we find in an average classroom renders it necessary to devise a set of strategies which may allow us to help each student reach their objectives. Differentiation, together with an effective scaffolding of the  learning process, turn out to be among the best techniques to accomplish this challenge. The development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), which offer many applications, programs and shared online resources, has provided teachers with valuable tools that will enable us to apply these strategies to individualize our students’ learning. Thus, Learning Management Systems like Edmodo offer an ideal environment to cater for our students as personally as possible. In order to do this, we can implement Edmodo’s built-in Small Group feature to differentiate our students according to their needs and capabilities, and then use it as a launchpad for other digital tools that will help our learners to achieve success in reaching their goals. In this workshop, the audience will get an overall view of how Edmodo works and how it can be used to achieve this personalized learning, as well as hear about some other digital tools that can be effectively used for learning.
