With the continuously evolving in technology in our lives and the connectivity that apps allow human beings. The tendency for sharism in communities, like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. Furthermore, communities like Research gate, LinkedIn and TED Talks, has allowed people to learn, share, and feel part of a community. Therefore, it is important to create online communities of English teachers.This study explores the advantages and disadvantages that creating online WhatsApp groups with academics in three states of Mexico. Exclusively speaking of, (Mextesol) the biggest association of English teachers from Mexico. The study examines three groups from Puebla, Mexico City, and Guanajuato. This paper examines that a simple app like WhatsApp can be considered an online community that enables Mexican English Teachers to have a community in a synchronous and asynchronous form.
