Presentation abstract
The present work had as focus to know the conception of the graduating in Biological Sciences on the influence of the environment on the health of the populations as well as to develop diverse pedagogical practices to treat the subject environment and resurgence of the mosquito Aedes aegypti. The elaboration of this research is mainly due to the need to provide a broader training of future teachers regarding environmental education, environmental imbalance interaction and public health, with a focus on Aedes Aegypti control. The group involved was formed by 16 students of the undergraduate course in Biological Sciences. The students divided into groups developed 4 didactic resources, being an Educational Banner directed to the students of Fundamental Education II on the "Diseases transmitted by the Aedes aegypti", two Educational Drawings with the theme "Environment and the vectors of diseases" and an Educational Game of Board named as "Urban Environment and Aedes aegytpi". After analyzing a questionnaire answered by the undergraduates, we can observe that many of them have conception based on common sense, or information conveyed by the media when the subject is Aedes aegypti and environmental factors which can be explained by the fact that some students do not identify with the theme or believe that the information provided by the media is sufficient. When we ask about the importance of Environmental Education to reduce the proliferation of the mosquito vector and improve the quality of the environment where we live, these are favorable to the insertion of this theme in Science and Biology classes. This conception is due to the profile of the Licentiate Course in Biological Sciences, which addresses the theme of Ecology and Epidemiology and Sanitation, among others, which discuss socio-environmental issues, pathologies, zoology.
