In Morocco, APEBI launched its studies on the concept Smart City (Smart City) baptized e-Madina (). APEBI has set itself the objective of making this new concept, a platform for resolution through ICT, issues arising from urbanization, arising from the expansion of Moroccan agglomerations. Thus, issues such as urban transport, housing, access to education, public health, easier access to administration for citizens and control of costs and optimization of municipal management, will be, among other sectors, development and improvement topics, through the use of information and communication technologies (ICT). APEBI has said that its ambition 'e-Madina', in addition to being a facilitator and qualifier of city life for city dwellers, will drive growth of ICT and E-economy in Morocco. Said project will be, according to the Moroccan federation, a way to create a real service market, backed by the value chain of the smart city, such as consulting, development, IT solutions, telecoms and networks. Among the Moroccan cities that can be targeted are Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech and Tangier, with the installation of the tram in Rabat and Casablanca, as well as the surveillance cameras on Casablanca.Heavy investments in renewable energies support the e-Madina project: the Moroccan Solar Energy Project in several regions: Ouarzazate, Ain Bni Mathar, Foum Al Oued, Boujdour and Sebkhat Tah and the Noor-Tafilalet Project photovoltaic solar power by ONEE ($ 153 billion) and the second phase of the plan is for the Noor-Atlas Project located in the southern and southeastern regions of the Kingdom.Also, as part of its energy strategy, Morocco is committed to a vast wind program, to support the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency. This project is called: Integrated Moroccan Wind Energy Project. Without forgetting the effort of public policies in favor of digital for the services E-Gov of Morocco Numeric 2013.
