Visuals on digital media, from images, pictures, memes, caricatures to videos, create new cyber platforms provoking for violence. Having an aesthetic nuance for violence on the visuals with neo-truth comments, social media desensitize us towards violence as they present, publicize, even create new forms of violence and new criminal types. As Mathiesen argued the definition of the watcher and their lens has evolved from panoptic, from a supervision of the authoritarian to a synoptic one, to an individual point of view, many to monitoring the few. The hidden urge of stalking others brought us into the new world of digital criminals. We now confront with a reader who watches the sharing of others with a voyeuristic identity. This role has turned into a scopophilic gaze that enjoys seeing violent sharing and the aestheticized violent acts. Mulvey here proposed that pleasure in looking or visual pleasure is objectifying women. The look itself is now the violence. This exchange of comments as a digital violence among Turkish male towards women victims become socially toxic. The perpetrators of violence now attract sympathy as they have legitimate excuses such as those women victims are "insulting man", "conforming to evil", "deserved it". The indifferent perception and euphemistic characteristic of Post-truth or Neo-truth age provide new topos on social media that pave the way to create a violent atmosphere and create new types of readers who kept silent for the victim and even empathizing the criminal by legitimizing the violence. This study focuses on the relationship between the gender violence and its widespread cultural perception along with the presentation of violent visuals, the ethics and politics of gender representation on digital media platforms and explores their own Turkish cultural context of masculine power, synoptic surveillance and scopophilic gaze.
