David Bowie, one of the most influential creators of the cultural world, can be seen many forms of expression. His true visionary manner actively defined pop music but his legacy to the world of culture has gone far beyond that. The groundbreaking personality demonstrates versatility and originality in everything he creates. His art brings together different generations and people with all sorts of social backgrounds who see themselves as fans of Bowie. He transcends these influences and transforms them into one person with an effective character. It is quite obvious that when searching for the underlying causes of Bowie's effects, he has won a wide range of influences from his concepts and characters he created for his albums throughout his long-running career. In this respect it is considered to be one of the most chameleon-like personalities in the music world. He has always transformed his public personality in various ways and often in a striking manner. Among Bowie's many characters, the most distinguished one is the combination of rock star and space man named Ziggy Stardust. Ziggy, who made Bowie one of the most popular rock stars in the early 1970s, has given Bowie an iconic status in society in terms of both musical and visual presentations. Bowie's unforgettable character remains an endless source of inspiration for people around the world. One of them is Turkish musician and actor Zeki Müren. This study examines Ziggy’s image, the cultural response he created in society and the Zeki Muren analogy of how these references are expressed in different cultures and societies in which the meanings of existing values after the 2.WW are questioned and restructured. As a result, analyzing these cultural effects lets us understand how Bowie’s act of creating Ziggy become an impact on visual heritage.
