Gara Garayev was Azerbaijani composer who composed nearly 110 musical pieces like ballets, operas, symphonic and chamber pieces, cantatas, songs, March and pieces for solo piano. He was born on 5th February 1918 and 2018 is celebrating his 100th anniversary of birth also according Unesco’s 2018-2019 anniversary and celebration anniversaries. In this research it is aimed to determine the reflection of the piano compositions to the piano education in his 100th anniversary of the birth. Six students who were trained in music teaching programs composer’s 24 Preludes were studied. Research in action was selected as the method and data were obtained from observations, made during training and interviews which were made at the end of the process. As a result of the study, it was determined that piano works of composer developed the technical and musical features of the students and motivated them. It is believed that this study is important for the introduction and dissemination composers’ piano works which are used in piano education.
