Abstract

The present research aims to analyze the digital competences of university teachers, in the implementation of virtual education. It is developed from a mixed approach, with the application of 44 surveys and 15 interviews, to university teachers in the region of Coquimbo, Chile, during the year 2021. The main results are: The use of educational platforms, communication, the search for information online and the use of presentation tools for classes. It is possible to conclude that university teachers have a different level of competencies to design and implement virtual classes and the need for constant improvement is evident.
